Hi Valerie:)

The bright light is something I cannot explain, really. There's a story behind it and I guess I'll record something for posterity. So thanks for the question:)

On October the 21st 2000 I had found a web page on a Leland Jensen. He was a chiropractor/naturopath and it was said that he fit the design of several characters from different religions. Christ was in the list, seventh angel, etc. It seemed pretty strange to me but I did read his entire story. I can't dispute it.

He said that he was here to set up the 'branch' as he put it. "Branch that came through chiropractic?", was my question. So, I wrote him the same night asking for help, and answers.

The same day, approximately twelve hours later, I had gone out to a little place in the country where we could fish from the county road. We walked out into the area directly around the pond on the private property attached. I had cleaned up the area previously because of the trash left behind from others. I can't stand to see the earth in that shape; I know what it is supposed to look like, so I fix it:)

Anyway, my daughter picks up this big stick and says, "Look Mom, Moses' staff.", and places a staff cut exactly to my shoulder in my hand, top end first. I flashed back to my dream. It was too weird. I was tired and it was kind of an overload thing, but I decided to take it home. I figured that it would make a neat graphic for my web site, and, it was also a conversation piece.

Some time later (couple of weeks?) I carried through on my original plan to take pictures of it for my web site. I had gone to the library previously to determine the latin word for branch (Ramus) and as I went outside to find the right place to photograph it, 'Ramus' flies through my head. I picked a spot across from my house against my neighbors barn/garage. The staff would be supported properly with a nice contrasting backgound so I could paint it out of the picture later.

I took approximately twelve pictures and the third one that I kept is what you see. I didn't see the light when I took the picture. Upon taking the picture and examining it on the LCD of my camera I thought that I had gotten my finger in the way. I almost erased it. And then something told me wait and take a closer look when I get it to my computer.

I waited a while longer until I finally uploaded the pictures to my computer and took a closer look. I guess you can say that it took me a little while to get ready. Anyway, there it was.

I thought that something was wrong with my camera. I have had four unexplained lights in pictures I have taken, so I checked with my computer teacher to get his opinion. He can't explain it, but says that nothing is wrong with my camera.

At first I was mad. I mean, there is potentially God Himself, not fifteen feet away from me, and I didn't recognize Him with my own sight. I hope that makes sense to you. That is pretty much what I thought at the time. Then I realized that perhaps it was just too much for me to comprehend on my own, and so He let me see Him just like I have come to understand everything else, in retrospect.

I have finally gotten over my frustration and am now VERY thankful for this opportunity to share. I am just too skeptical, I'm sure. But, I am rediscovering that child like faith that I lost from my youth:)

I feel that the light either came from the staff itself, as if opening up. Or, I suppose it is possible that He descended on it, or reflected the light back to me from the staff. I really don't know for sure. It still seems pretty strange, but I am SURE that He wanted me to have this gift. My cats were really interested in the staff. I had to keep kicking them back in order to have a clear shot for the picture.

The graphic for my web site was selected from the picture directly behind this photo. I figured that it held His presence best, that is, if you wanted to see the staff without the light:)

I had actually forgotten about this photo (I really didn't know what to do with it). But recently, I had an experience that brought it back to mind. I had a different original idea of how to use it, but another's experience would have been overlaid with this photograph. When I approached the young lady with my idea, she just wasn't ready yet. So, I waited for direction from Him. I had a dream the day before I posted this picture, and the whole thing came together as you see.

Pretty neat, huh?

Love and light

PS. There is actually more to the story but I'll let you go for now. Let me know if you want to hear the rest. The following link has part of the story. It leads up to what brought me back to the photograph of the light. And I will say, that God has given me confirmation from meeting the young woman. She told me later that just after we had met she began seeing a big branch in her way when she was walking. I think she said she saw it twice. She also said that she did not feel the need to pick it up, but wondered if it was His way of confirming my position. She said that she usually likes to wait for three signs as she calls it before she will act. In either case, I have received a GREAT gift:)!
